M. Myser Bio

Carried through by the rhythms of places and
the people who inhabit them, M. Myser is constantly
wandering open eared. Originally from Colorado, Myser’s
deep familial roots in the West help inform the stories,
characters and myths that move through her works.
With a strong focus on how one creates their own
identity, current works focus on the idea of place, myth
and the individual. M. Myser received her MFA in Moving
Images from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her
BFA in Film Studies (cum laude) and BA in Studio Arts from
the University of Colorado at Boulder. Myser stays continually
active with freelance work along side her own creative practice.
She currently lives in Philadelphia, PA where she works as a
filmmaker, writer and educator.
